Este painel é utilizado para caracterização de tumores de células redondas indiferenciadas ao exame histopatológico de rotina. Os principais diferenciais listados nesta categoria são o tumor venéreo transmissível, linfoma, plasmocitoma, histiocitoma, as histiocitoses reativas (processo imunorreativo), sarcoma histiocítico, melanoma amelanótico e tumor de células de Merkel.
O material requerido é o tecido fixado em formalina 10%, de preferência tamponada, e incluído em parafina (bloco de parafina) com fragmento representado por tumores de células redondas e cópia do relatório do patologista veterinário.
